About Us
Absolute Cage Fights is an event promotions group dedicated to furthering the sport of MMA fighting in Knoxville, TN. Our goal: To provide our attendees a quality event with the best local amateur fights in a family friendly environment and our fighters a well run, professional platform from which to compete. Our events are sanctioned, fighter and attendees are insured; with professional security provided by Knoxville Police Department in conjunction with experienced T-Shirt security.
Travis Cupp
Travis Cupp, a fight trainer, works the marketing distribution and day-of-event with the fighters in the Red/Blue room prior to their walk to the CAGE. |

Richard Hilliard
Richard Hilliard, a promotions entrepreneur, provides event direction, develops event elements and day-of-event oversees CAGE construction and emcees the fight.

Fight director Doug Powell, a former fighter himself, handles the match ups, weigh-ins, day-of-event fight coordination.

Our History
The company was founded in 2007 prior to the legislation making MMA style competitions legal. The events featured brazilian jujitsu grappling and were hosted by Coyote Joe's in "The Big House" and Knoxville Harley-Davidson®/Buell®. Sponsors included ARMY, Lance Cunningham Ford, and others.
Future Plans
As we continue to grow plans to better the quality of our events are always in the forefront. We have never stood still as evidenced by the continued upgrade to the CAGE itself. The current CAGE; build number 3 is bigger and safer for the contestants than any of the previous builds. With only 14 bolts set-up & take down assembly insures each fight event starts on time. Plans for build 4 are in the making.
